We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Nurse Consultant/Nurse Paralegal to join our esteemed Medical Defense Team in Northeast Ohio. Primary Responsibilities: Provide consultation, research, and investigation of medical records. Create medical record chronologies, summaries, and analyses. Conduct research on medical literature for cases. Analyze pre-deposition and post-deposition transcript data on expert witnesses. Offer pre-trial and trial support for attorneys. Investigate potential medical billing irregularities. Research and recommend medical experts. Provide data and assistance to medical experts. Perform any other duties as assigned. Skills, Qualifications & Educational Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience and a valid state registered nursing license. Obstetrics experience is a plus. Legal Nurse Consultant Certificate (LNCC) preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office technology, including document management tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to perform billable work and record time in accordance with client/firm policy. Capability to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently while using sound judgment in decision-making.
